MONTHLY UPDATE: NOVEMBER 2025
November brings welcome news for pedestrian connectivity, with the Sherford Road footpath now open. The Sherford Consortium has delivered a temporary solution to provide a safe pedestrian and cycle link between Sherford and Elburton. Set back from Sherford Road, the new path offers a safe connection between Gemini Road and Sherford Road for the first time, with temporary lighting installed along the route. This is particularly important for families and young people walking to local schools in Elburton and Plymstock. The path is 3m wide at its widest point, narrowing to 1.5m as it joins the existing Sherford Road pavement.
The Business Park development has commenced as planned at the end of October, marking an important milestone in bringing employment opportunities to Sherford. This significant project will contribute to the town's economic growth and provide local job opportunities for residents.
Communication improvements are also underway, with four new noticeboards delivered and scheduled for installation within the next week. The Sherford Consortium is funding these noticeboards, which will be located in public spaces around the town to provide better channels to communicate with residents and visitors. The noticeboards will be shared with Sherford Community Trust and Brixton Parish Council, creating a shared space for all Sherford news and information.
