JOIN A GUIDED WALK FROM BRIXTON TO SHERFORD COUNTRY PARK
Residents are invited to join Brixton Parish Council's Environment Group for a guided walk from Brixton into Sherford Country Park on Saturday 5th September.
The walk will start at 10.30am, and the meeting point is Feoffee Park, next to St Mary's Church in Brixton. The group will then follow the Public Rights of Way from the village to Monkey Lane and on into the top of Sherford Country Park.
Along the way, walkers will be able to learn more about the landscape, tree planting and the park itself. At around 2.5 miles in total, the route takes about 25 minutes to reach the Country Park.
Sherford's impressive Country Park currently covers over 92 acres of land, with a stream running through it, plenty of fascinating features, and breathtaking views over the valley. It's a stunning slice of South Hams countryside that is free to visit and open to all.
Dogs on leads are welcome, and the group will return to Brixton afterwards for refreshments at The Foxhound Inn pub.
Anyone taking part is asked to wear suitable footwear and bring their own drinks. All participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety, wellbeing and personal belongings throughout.
No booking is required, just come along on the day and enjoy the company and countryside.
