OPEN GARDENS RETURNS TO SHERFORD THIS JUNE
Mark your calendars: the Friends of Sherford Country Park's popular Open Gardens event is back on Sunday 7th June, running from 2:30pm to 5pm.
The annual celebration gives residents and visitors a chance to explore some of Sherford's most creative and carefully tended private gardens, while raising vital funds for the Friends of Sherford Country Park — the RHS-affiliated volunteer group working to enhance and protect Sherford's public open spaces for future generations.
A plant stall will also be on offer on the day, with plants generously donated by local residents. Whether you're an experienced gardener or just starting out, it's a wonderful opportunity to pick up something new for your own outdoor space.
Get involved
Preparations are already under way, and the Friends are keen to hear from anyone who would like to take part. If you would like to open your garden for the event and haven't yet been in touch, please do so as soon as possible — new gardens are always a highlight for visitors.
Volunteers are also needed on the day to help sell programmes and plants. If you can spare a few hours to support the event, your help would be very much appreciated.
How to find out more
To register your garden or offer your time as a volunteer, please get in touch with the Friends of Sherford Country Park as soon as possible. Email: foscp25@gmail.com
All proceeds from the day will go directly towards Friends of Sherford Country Park funds, supporting the ongoing work to maintain and improve Sherford's Country Park and green spaces.
