AWARD WINS: SHERFORD NAMED SOUTH WEST’S BEST IN PROPERTY AWARDS

Sherford has scooped two prestigious awards at the South West Residential Property Awards 2023, winning both the Sustainability and Social Impact Award and Place-making Award.

The awards showcase the best work carried out in the region, covering property projects across the whole of the South West, from the Cornish coast to beyond Bristol. A panel of industry experts judge entrants in 11 categories, appraising the work of the West Country's leading housebuilders, developers, architects, advisers and professionals.

Sherford was awarded the Sustainability and Social Impact Award, which recognises the project that has had a significant positive impact on the local community and has shown a commitment to sustainability. South West Business Insider reported that, "judges selected Sherford because of the sheer size of the project and its attempts to achieve sustainability and social impact at such a vast scale."

It also won the Place-making Award, which is for a project that demonstrates places that really 'work in the round'; spaces where communities thrive thanks to providing the right areas in which individuals can meet and interact and navigate easily, and public spaces that promote people's health, happiness and well-being. In awarding this accolade to Sherford, South West Business Insider said, "judges selected Sherford because of its evolution, the latest round of housing that brings the project forward significantly, and the community engagement achieved."
