MONTHLY UPDATE: DECEMBER 2025
December is set to be a productive month on site, with continued progress across several areas of Sherford’s development. Alongside ongoing major works, a number of important smaller projects have reached completion, helping to improve facilities and connectivity for residents as we approach the end of the year.
Temporary Traffic Lights Update
Following an intense period of construction activity around Equinox Road and Nimbus Road, the Consortium is now in a position to scale back the number of temporary traffic lights in place. Most will be removed on Friday 5th December, with only four sets remaining. New white lining will be added on Thursday 4th December to help improve traffic flow, and further reductions are planned for the New Year. These changes are designed to minimise delays while maintaining safety as the top priority.
Christmas Tree Installation
The town Christmas tree will be delivered, set up, and decorated with lights at the beginning of December. It will be placed on the green in front of Sherford Vale, ready for school and community celebrations.
New Community Notice Boards
New community notice boards are due to be installed in four locations, providing residents with improved access to local information and updates.
Cricket Pavilion Access
Preparations are underway to organise access arrangements for the Cricket Pavilion during the New Year period. Further details will be shared once final plans are confirmed.
Bat House Completed
We are pleased to report that the new Bat House has now been fully completed. This forms an important part of Sherford’s ongoing ecological commitments and supports local wildlife habitats.
Business Park Development
Work on the Business Park is in full flow. Following its formal start at the end of October, teams are progressing with the next stages of construction to bring new employment space and future job opportunities to Sherford.
Christmas Site Closure
Details of the Christmas site closure period will be shared shortly.
