MONTHLY UPDATE: SEPTEMBER 2024
This month signifies the completion of a couple of big projects at Sherford and the start of new ones.
The Western Pitches will be handed over to Argyle Community Trust and become operational. Currently, final landscaping work is taking place. Operational details - how to book pitches, what courses and activities will be on offer, etc - are being finalised and will be published soon.
The Country Park expansion is set to open this month, which means a massive new area of public open space will be available for Sherford residents and the wider community. With an accessible entrance and paths, lots of fascinating new features and breathtaking views, a huge amount of work has gone into this new addition to the town.
Residents should also expect to see vegetation clearance work along Sherford Road footpath, which is taking place in advance of work starting on the new junction.
Work is also due to start over in Phase 3 of Sherford to prepare the area for construction. Ecology work to safely deal with existing hedge banks, plus earthworks to make way for a haul road and compound are all necessary to ready the area for the creation of new homes.
