RED LION HILL / STAMPS HILL REOPENS
The Sherford Consortium is pleased to announce that Red Lion Hill / Stamps Hill has reopened to traffic - and a new route is in place between Brixton and Sherford.
The route goes from Brixton, up Red Lion Hill / Stamps Hill, along Equinox Road and emerges onto Hercules Road in Sherford. There is then the option to turn left towards Haye Road, or right along Main Street towards the A38 Deep Lane junction.
The lane was closed in order for a new section of Sherford to be built. Construction work is ongoing in this area, and this means that traffic and speed restrictions will be in place for the safety of those working in the area and for the safety of road users.
In the day, there will be a traffic marshall and temporary traffic lights in place. Please observe the traffic lights and also note that there is a 20 mph speed limit through this area. The traffic lights have been adjusted to show green outside of the Consortium’s permitted working hours. Drivers are asked to travel with care and attention at all times.
The Sherford Consortium is grateful for the patience and understanding of the local community while this project was carried out.
