IMPROVED ACCESSIBILITY AT THE BUS STOP
The bus stop in the local square now includes a new crossing point for improved accessibility. This new dropped kerb and tactile surface has been added by the Sherford Consortium to improve disabled access.
The work has been carried out to ensure everyone has safe and easy access to the regular public transport service delivered by Stagecoach. It will enable wheelchair users and mobility scooters to benefit from the bus shelter, and reach public transport easily and safely.
New planters have also been installed to prevent vehicles being parked by the disabled access points and blocking this essential route. We ask motorists to avoid parking in a way that could prevent use of this crossing point.
