SHERFORD DAY: UPDATE
Planning to come along to Sherford Day on 6th April? Please be aware to some changes to the plans, prompted by the changing weather conditions. ‘Sherford Day’ is hosted by the town’s thriving community groups, in honour of the people and groups that have made Sherford their home.
With Storm Kathleen arriving imminently, some of the outdoor activities have been altered. The Forest School session has been cancelled but there are still plans to plant the wildflower seeds in a different location. The activities in Sherford Community Hub will continue as planned.
Please see an updated schedule below:
- [For Friends of the Country Park group members only] 10am: Friends of the Country Park invites its existing members to join a working group to plant 120 hazel and hawthorn whips, where a Devon hedge bank restoration project has been taking place
- [Open to all] 3pm: Celebrations will take place at Sherford Community Hub, with cream teas available. Children will be given packets of wildflower seeds to sow in the Local Square, by the bus shelter.
All are welcome at this celebration in the afternoon - there will be plenty to do and enjoy, regardless of the weather!
