MONTHLY UPDATE: FEBRUARY 2024
This is a monthly snapshot of what is happening at Sherford, what work is planned on site in the month ahead, and any important developments to note.
Work continues on getting the temporary shop up and running. Once the power connections have been sorted, the shop operator can get to work stocking the shelves and sharing details of the grand opening. Also progressing well is the second wing to Sherford Vale primary school, which is set to double its capacity once the new section of the school opens.
Tree clearance work has started on Sherford Road - you can read more here. This is the first stage of the Sherford Road Traffic Calming Project. You can find out more about the plans, the work involved, and ask any questions about it at a public information event on Wednesday 21st February, 6:45-8:45pm at Sherford Community Hub.
By the Western Pitches - which is where the all-weather and football pitch is located - there is work taking place in this area to put in some facilities, including a car park, which will enable these pitches to open to residents and the public this Spring.
