MONTHLY UPDATE: JANUARY 2024
This is first update of 2024 and part of a new series, which will be posted at the beginning of each month, to provide a snapshot of what is happening at Sherford, what work is planned on site in the month ahead, and any important developments to note.
The intention is to have the new temporary shop up and running soon. Power connections, kitting out and stocking up the shop are all on the list of actions for January. Work continues to finish the surround for the new bus shelter on Hercules Road, at the top of the local centre, and this will be ready for use imminently.
Where Sherford Road enters the new town from Elburton, there is work taking place to this month to clear some of the surrounding trees and vegetation. This is ahead of a new project to improve this junction and create a new footpath to Elburton village.
As a growing town, there is always much to be done to plan, design and prepare for future phases of development. The planning decision is due soon on area 3A&B, which is the largest addition to Sherford in terms of new homes and overall scale. Find out more about this area here.
