SHERFORD SCRATCH CHOIR

Sherford Community Church has launched a 'Sherford Christmas Scratch Choir', which - as the name implies - is a new choir, built from scratch.  Residents and children from Sherford Vale School are teaming up to form the new choir, in preparation for performing Christmas carols around the Christmas tree on 16th December.
Helen Porter, a professional singer and songwriter, who has previous experience in training community choirs, is leading the project. The group has had its first rehearsal and another will follow on Saturday 2nd December. The culmination of the hard work will be a live performance at the Sherford community Christmas celebrations a fortnight later.
