SHERFORD VALE IS OFFICIALLY ‘GOOD’ SAYS OFSTED
Sherford Vale recently received the results of its first ever Ofsted inspection - and the verdict is in. Proving what Sherford families know already, Ofsted rated the school as GOOD in its glowing report.
The summary evaluation of the inspection is as follows:
- The quality of education Good
- Behaviour and attitudes Good
- Personal development Good
- Leadership and management Good
- Early years provision Good
Headteacher, Susie Evans, said: "The report is overwhelmingly positive and reflects the progress we have made during the past couple of years, alongside emerging from the disruption caused by COVID. We are particularly proud that the school is recognised as calm and purposeful, and that we are vigilant in ensuring the safety of our pupils. We are also pleased that our priorities on reading, pupils’ vocabulary and spoken language have been recognised as strengths."
She added: "We know the hard work doesn’t stop here. Our journey is of continual improvement and so we will strive to push ourselves to further develop, as we move to becoming a two-form entry school. The report also gives us even more reasons to be extremely proud of our pupils. The report states that our children feel safe, happy and share warm and respectful relationships with staff."
A school at the heart of the new town, Ms Evans extended her thanks to the Sherford community. "I’d like to thank all our staff, pupils, their families, and the whole school community for helping make Sherford Vale an amazing place for children to start their educational journey."
