Alongside City College Plymouth and South Devon College, the Sherford Consortium offers onsite training, work experience and long-term employment opportunities through its Skills Training Scheme.

The scheme is designed to help provide people with the skills needed to pursue a career in construction, including schemes for military veterans and service leavers.
Participants learn at Sherford’s revolutionary new on-site training centre. There is tuition in various areas of construction, including groundworks, roofing, carpentry, plastering, plumbing and bricklaying.
Trainees go on to gain practical experience and knowledge of health and safety, large scale development processes and on-site communication.
