Mark your calendars – this Sunday, 12th October, from 12pm to 4pm
Sherford Community Trust is gearing up for its Autumn Fayre at the School Square and Community Hub on Hercules Road, and you won’t want to miss it!
The event brings together all the best of what makes Sherford special. Browse traders at the Farmers Market in the Square, then head into the Community Hub to discover craft traders, enjoy print-making arts activities, and take part in a kids clothes swap.
Gables Dog Show
One of the highlights of the day will be the Gables Dog Show kicking off at 1pm. With eight fun classes including “Cutest Puppy,” “Young at Heart,” “Waggiest Tail,” and the ever-popular “Dog the Judge Would Like to Take Home,” there’s a category for every four-legged friend. Entry is just £2 per class per dog, with rosettes awarded from 1st to 4th place. All first-place winners will compete in a championship class at the end.
You can pre-register at the Gables gazebo or simply enter at the dog show ring as classes are called. Best of all, all proceeds go towards the welfare of dogs and cats at Gables.
Food, Drink, and Entertainment
Hungry Hog South West will be serving up delicious food throughout the day, while Fillies and Fizz will keep you refreshed with their autumnal and Halloween-themed drinks – perfect for getting into the seasonal spirit.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, live music will be playing all afternoon, and the Community Choir will be performing.
Don’t forget to check out the kids clothes swap and print-making arts activities in the Community Hub – a great opportunity for families to refresh their children’s wardrobes sustainably, get creative, and connect with other members of the community.
